Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 100 g soft butter
- 125 g dark brown sugar
- 30 g white sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 210 g flour
- 200 g chocolate chips
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 170°C, turbo mode.In a stand mixer bowl fitted with a paddle attachment, add the butter, dark brown sugar, sugar, salt and vanilla, and beat on high speed until you get a soft, creamy texture.
Add the egg and keep mixing until it is fully incorporated into the mixture.
Add the baking soda, baking powder and flour and mix until large dough clumps form.
If using chocolate chips, add them and mix until the chocolate pieces are evenly distributed throughout the dough. If using regular chocolate, chop it into coarse pieces with a knife. Set aside some of the chocolate.
Form 10-12 balls of dough and place them spaced apart on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Top with a little more chocolate.
Bake for 12-17 minutes, or until the cookies puff up and turn golden. If making smaller cookies, the baking time will be shorter.
Let cool slightly at room temperature and serve.
