Sahug with a Twist
Ingredients
- 1 head garlic
- 3-4 fresh hot red / green / mixed chili peppers
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- half teaspoon salt / coarse salt
- 2 peppers dried hot peppers
Preparation
1. Soak the dried peppers in boiling water for about 10 minutes. Then remove the seeds.2. Rinse the cilantro well, dry it and drain excess moisture, then place it in a food processor.
3. Peel and add the garlic cloves.
4. Rinse the fresh peppers and add them too - to make the sahug spicier, you can add the seeds as well.
5. Add the dried peppers (seeds removed), oil and salt.
Grind everything together in a food processor until you get a paste-like texture.
You can strain out excess liquid or leave it as is, to taste.
