Fried Tilapia Fillet / Crispy Fish / Fish Schnitzel
Ingredients
- 3-4 pieces Tilapia fillet
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- salt to taste
- half tablespoon cumin
- oil for frying
Preparation
Soak the fish in water with lemon for at least an hour.If it is frozen, it is recommended to rinse it briefly in lukewarm water until it thaws, and then soak it.
* To remove the skin from the fillet (for those who want to)
Pour boiling water over the fish with the skin side facing up.
This way the hot water touches the skin, and then it can be removed easily.
Dry well.
In one plate, mix breadcrumbs with salt and cumin; you can add paprika, garlic powder, or any other spice you like.
In a second, slightly deep plate, whisk the egg.
Dip the fish slices in flour, then in the egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs, and fry until golden brown on both sides.
You can cut them into strips.
Serve with fries, salad, garlic sauce, mayonnaise, or any side you like.
Bon appétit ;)
