Ja'ajin Bread
Ingredients
- For the dough:
- 1 kilo flour
- 2 tablespoons yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- a quarter cup oil
- water lukewarm as needed (about half a liter)
- For the meat mixture:
- half kilo ground meat
- 1 onion large
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 pepper red
- 1 tomato paste medium tomatoes (260 ml)
- salt pepper to taste
- half a can of water
Preparation
Prepare the dough:Mix the dry ingredients (except the salt)
Flour, yeast, and sugar. Gradually add the oil and water, and finally the salt.
Let rise for 40-60 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the meat mixture:
1. Finely chop the onion and fry until golden,
2. Also finely chop the pepper and add it to the onion.
3. Add the chopped garlic.
4. Fry briefly and add the ground meat.
Fry until it turns from pink to brown.
Crumble while cooking with a fork so it comes out as crumbles of meat and not a lump.
5. Add the tomato paste and mix well.
6. Add water (fill the tomato paste can).
Bring to a boil and lower the heat.
Leave on low heat for about 10 minutes until the water evaporates.
Roll out the dough thin, about 1 cm thick.
Cut out circles.
Place about half a tablespoon of the mixture on each circle.
Bake at 200 degrees for about 20 minutes, until nicely browned.
