Ingredients
- 7-8 Potatoes
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs for coating
- 5 tablespoons Flour (for those who want it kosher for Passover, you can replace with matzah flour).
- 2 tablespoons Seasonings of your choice, I like to add half a tablespoon of salt and another tablespoon and a half of chicken grill seasoning.
- Optional: 2 tablespoons sesame seeds.
- Oil For shallow frying.
Preparation
Peel and cut the potatoes.(For quick cooking, it's recommended to cut them small).
Place in a pot and cover with water until above the potatoes.
3. When the potatoes soften, drain well from liquid,
and mash into a purée.
4. Add 3 tablespoons of flour and mix well.
5. On separate plates place:
- one plate with 2 beaten eggs,
- a second plate with 2 tablespoons of flour,
- a third plate with breadcrumbs and seasonings, you can add a little sesame.
6. Take a little of the potato mixture and flatten it into a sausage shape (see attached photos)
it's best to flatten it inside the flour plate.
7. Dip each 'sausage' in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs.
8. Fry on all sides until nicely golden.
It's recommended to serve with your favorite sauces.
Enjoy :)
